So I went out yesterday to see these collosal structures. At the moment they are both still under heavy construction. Thousands of workers living in nearby temporary quarters are digging, lifting, and hacking away non stop.
The water sports centre is made of some kind of bubble like translucent material, which lets in light during the day and the structure appears to glow at night. Or at least thats what they say.
The National sports stadium is called the 鸟巢 "Niao Chao" (birds nest). It looks amazing, I wish I had clearance to get closer to it. I had to sweet talk a gaurd to get as close as I was.

Hey Xiao Di, we have been trying to get some olympic tickets so we can get closer to the building. pretty cool. this multi-media stuff is amazing... Feeling better?
